To learn more about ARM and its Centers, please visit us on the web at: ARM <br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />The Center for Evaluation Methods and Issues is seeking an experienced professional to serve as an Assistant Director; responsible for providing leadership and expertise to GAO teams on complex social science and program evaluation and methodological issues consistent with professional standards. Duties involve, but are not limited to, the following:<br /><br />• Advises and/or guides teams in selecting and implementing appropriate methodologies for engagements in accordance with GAO standards, and professional social science and program evaluation standards.<br />• Provides leadership, direction and/or consultation on complex engagement designs, project plans, data collection, and analysis in the evaluation of federal programs based on requests from congressional committees and mandates written into legislation, resolutions, and committee reports.<br />• Designs and leads portions of complex engagements and carries out sophisticated quantitative and/or qualitative analysis. <br />• Directs, manages, and supervises team members. Assigns work and evaluates and documents work performance of team members. Hears and resolves employee complaints, recommends disciplinary measures such as warnings and reprimands, and recommends other action in more serious cases.
