Overview

<br /> The Planning Analyst will be responsible for tracking commercial inventory, coordinating internal sales processes with Account Services Representatives &amp; Sales Planners and work closely with Pricing &amp; Planning in supporting the Ad Sales Strategic Planning Group.<br /><li> Manage commercial inventory and recommend strategies for optimum use of network avails<br /></li><li> Generate, track, update and distribute assigned sales reports – Inventory (National &amp; DR), pre-emptions, options, etc.<br /></li><li> Work with sales to optimize inventory by allocating weekly moves and recaps where needed<br /></li><li> Maintain, distribute &amp; monitor liability reports; Monitor Stewardship by maintaining deal delivery<br /> and maximizing revenue<br /></li><li> Assist in processing and managing MSA posting; focusing on generating quarterly reports, entering/maintaining data &amp; interacting with vendor<br /></li><li> Coordinate with ASRs &amp; planners to understand &amp; enforce all Sales Administration deadlines, policies and procedures as directed by Vice President, Strategic Planning <br /></li><li> Various projects and assignments upon business needs <br /><br /> </li><br /><br />Qualifications:<br />-BA/BS degree required<br />-Minimum 2-3 years experience in media sales environment<br />-Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint)<br /><br />Requirements:<br />Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV through www.nbcunicareers.com to be considered <br />Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice <br />Must be willing to work in New York, NY.<br />Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States<br />Must be 18 years or older<br /><br />Prior experience in Sales Planning or Commercial Operations<br />Excellent computer skills, demonstrated analytical ability and organizational/project management skills<br />Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel <br />Working knowledge of On Air and Nielsen rating system preferred<br />Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines<br />Strong verbal and written communication skills<br />Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate/negotiate effectively with all levels within the organization<br />Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven media environment<br />Passion for television and entertainment landscape<br /><br />At NBCUniversal, we believe in the talent of our people.
