<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: <ul> <li>Experience managing, organizing, and advising the Directorate of an organization on issues related to global strategy, plans, posture, force structure and integration with the National Defense Strategy and National Military Strategy.</li> <li>Experience supporting the development, planning and preparation of writing and presenting dense, complicated, and concise analytical material, related to issues of DoD strategy.</li> <li>Experience as a representative for program and budget review.</li> </ul> Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
