<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />This position is located in the Romance Languages Division (ROM) School of Languages Studies (SLS), Foreign Service Institute (FSI), Department of State. The incumbent serves as Deputy Division Director in the ROM language division and as a senior authority for those language programs under the incumbent's leadership. This position represents one of the key members of the FSI and SLS senior teams.<br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />Under the general guidance of the Division Director leads the overall language program management, including overseeing curriculum. Provides supervision and policy and program guidance to staff. In collaboration with the Division Director, and based on own expertise, incumbent anticipates and strategically plans for all language training program needs. Formulates budget requirements for the division. Compiles and analyzes language section budget requests for Division Director's review and approval. Ensures effective program monitoring and evaluation through collaboration with the Language Testing division, the Curriculum and Staff Development division and the Evaluation division.
