This will be calculated using your resume and unofficial transcripts or a list of courses/course hours submitted with your application.<br /><br /><strong>You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one of the following:</strong><br /><br />Experience: One (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: <ul> <li>Assisting the team leader or supervisor in planning inspections and participating in briefings with team leaders at inspection sites</li> <li>Ensuring inspection findings provide complete identification of deficiencies and areas of concern</li> <li>Developing sound recommendations which identify the appropriate level of the problem, and the type of corrective action necessary to fix the problem</li> <li>Preparing written inspection findings to team leaders or supervisors</li> </ul> <br />OR<br /> Education: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.<br /><br /><strong>NOTE:</strong> The incumbent may be assigned to one of the following inspection areas:<br /><br /><strong>Office of Detention Oversight (ODO) </strong>- Employees assigned to ODO be responsible for evaluating programs' and detention facilities' compliance with policies and detention standards for facilities that house ICE detainees.<br /><br /><strong>Management Inspections Unit (MIU) </strong>- Employees assigned to MIU are responsible for conducting on-site inspections of domestic and international ICE field offices and HQ programs to ensure operational and administrative compliance with established policies and procedures.<br /><br /><strong>287(g) Inspections Unit</strong> – Employees assigned to the 287(g) Inspections Unit review ICE's partnerships with state and local law enforcement agencies (LEAs) throughout the U.S. whose officers are granted immigration enforcement authorities of ICE Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers.<br /><br /><strong>External Reviews and Analysis Unit (ERAU)</strong> – Employees assigned to ERAU are responsible for conducting administrative reviews of the facts and circumstances surrounding all aspects of an individual's passing while in ICE custody as well as conducting audits to ensure compliance with the DHS Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Standards.<br /><br /><strong>Note:</strong> One or more positions may be filled using this vacancy announcement.
