The Nurse Practitioner will be expected to provide high quality, evidence-based care to in-patient and outpatient cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, and to assist cardiologists and surgeons in patient management from pre-hospitalization to discharge. The Cardiac and Vascular Services Advanced Practice Provider is a leading expert in cardiovascular care across all settings, and acts a resource for, support to, and leader of cardiovascular resources within the hospital.
Qualified candidates will possess:
Master of Science Degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program required.
Current Maryland License
Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification
Minimum of one year's experience as a Nurse Practitioner
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Proficient in MS Office applications, Internet and email
