Carpenter – Painter:
Performs necessary protection and decoration of paint to the hospital facilities and property. Paints surfaces using brushes, spray guns, or paint rollers as necessary. Erects scaffolding or ladders, protects floors and furniture, and performs preventative maintenance as assigned. Sometimes required to perform other duties such a snow removal. Should be flexible and able to perform overtime work and on-call work, although this will be rare.
Qualified candidates will possess:
High School Diploma or GED Required
Experience as painter/carpenter
Working knowledge of wall repair, patch and paint following infection control guidelines in a health care environment
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to perform manual tasks requiring dexterity
Ability to work well with others
Strong customer relations skills
Ability to work overtime hours and be available for on-call/call in hours
