About Us

We are inHouse, a membership club for people who care about restaurants, founded by the former Head Maître D at The NoMad. We bring together restaurant professionals and avid diners through a bookings platform, curated dining experiences, and member events, with the goal of fostering and supporting an enlightened dining community.

About the Role

We're looking for a restaurant-obsessed Content Editor to develop and run a captivating editorial and content marketing program. This is a fast-paced, dynamic role to plan, write, and edit content across our public-facing channels. Your newsletters, articles, and social posts will be must-reads for an audience of restaurant professionals and discerning diners who champion hospitalityfrom London to New York and beyond. 

You'll thrive in this role if your finger is on the pulse of dining culture. You can name all of Gabriel Stulman's restaurants, discuss the merits of Noble Rot's wine list, and identify trends worth covering across all facets of the restaurant landscape. You'll curate and comment on breaking news, cover inHouse events, create lead-gen campaigns, and highlight the ideas and innovations of forward thinkers in the industry. 

Responsibilities

  • Run a multifaceted content program, growing and engaging our audience through editorial and marketing content on our inHouse app, newsletters, social channels, and text-messaging platform 
  • Drive audience development and growth, ensuring that we create coverage to both extend our reach and develop superusers 
  • Develop and evolve content workflows and processes, and oversee its end-to-end management, including budgeting, scheduling, and production 
  • Set a leading standard for restaurant industry coverage, with a holistic view that engages members, restaurant professionals, and savvy diners around the globe 
  • Maintain the inHouse brand voice across all channels, and strive to find new and clever ways to communicate with our members and the dining public 
  • Cultivate and manage a network of restaurant professionals and tapped-in writers who contribute content, from social posts to thought-leadership essays

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in the hospitality industry is strongly preferred 
  • Minimum of 3 years in an editing or content marketing capacity at a digital food or lifestyle publication, hospitality brand, startup, or agency 
  • You have a passion for hospitality and deep knowledge of restaurants and the digital food space 
  • Proven track record of creating social, editorial, and/or marketing content that drives engagement 
  • Experience producing digital content (i.e. cropping images, working in CMS, building newsletters, scheduling social posts) 
  • You are smart, creative, super organized, collaborative, and enjoy wearing many hatsideally, youre as comfortable coming up with ideas as you are with executing them 
  • Strong attention to detail in copyediting and proofreading 
  • You are New York City-based. This is an in-house position in SoHo and is not open to remote applicants
